My Story

For many years, I worked in Primary schools and found a real joy in supporting children and their growth. But deep down, I always felt like something was missing and that I hadn’t yet found my true purpose.
That all changed when I experienced my very first gong bath during a Relaxation Retreat at The Tree in Rosedale, near Pickering. I’ll be honest, I was sceptical about whether I’d truly be able to switch off and relax. But the sound was absolutely out of this world. My body felt completely at peace, which is a rarity for someone like me who finds stillness a challenge. My mind felt clear, my thoughts lighter, and I walked away with a sense of calm I had never known before.
When I later attended a local gong bath, it was like a lightbulb moment. I just knew I had to share this experience with others.
And so began my journey into sound healing. I trained with the wonderful Sheila Whittaker through The College of Sound Healing and met some incredible people who have become dear friends. I learned so much, not just about the power of sound and the gongs, but also about myself.
I qualified as a Gong Practitioner in June 2021, relocated back to my beloved Yorkshire that September, and launched Blossom Relaxation in October 2021. A dream turned into reality.
Today, I’m proud and honoured to hold regular monthly gong baths across several beautiful Yorkshire venues. I also support private events, retreats, and special occasions.
I am currently expanding my sound offerings as I train in sound healing with voice, which I’ll soon be offering as a beautiful complement to my gong work.
This September also marks the launch of Blossom Relaxation Rocks -a creative sister project focused on mindfulness through mandala pebble painting. I’ll be running relaxed and welcoming workshops that encourage creativity, calm, and connection, and I’ll also be selling my hand-painted pebbles as unique pieces of art and thoughtful gifts.
Whether through sound, voice, or mindful creativity, my intention is to help you pause, breathe, and reconnect with the stillness within.
